Football is back and in a big way if you are a fan of the Texas Longhorns. They defeated the Rice Owls 52-10 Saturday night under perfect skies. Colt McCoy had a record-setting day for a Longhorn surpasing Major Applewhite in career touchdwon passes with 62, throwing for four this day while passing for 329 yards and rushing for 83 more.

Under the direction of strength coach MadDog Madden the Horns take the field.

The Horns take the field to a crowd of 97,000

Senior receiver Jordan Shipley from nearby Burnet, TX. hauled in two TD passes and 155 yards of offense despite getting his head nearly yanked off by Rice’s Andrew Sendejo.

UT student group the Texas Hellraisers toss one of their own into the air for every point scored by the Horns, and after every score that is a lot of tossing.

Three fifths of the Corona Family, from left, Christian, Bob and William, are the biggest Longhorn fans I know and are diehard attendees at every home game.
