Rosemary Lehmberg is New Travis County District Attorney

Rosemary Lehmberg was sworn in as Travis County District Attorney in a ceremony in the 250th District Court today replacing Ronnie Earle, who served 32 years in the office. Lehmberg, a long-time first assistant to Earle, looks up fondly to her brother Phillip as she receives a standing ovation as she is introduced by her former boss.

Former District Attorney Ronnie Earle was presented with his portrait that will hang in the courthouse during the ceremony. Earle was elected into the office in 1977 and decided to retire last year.
