Lot clearing continues on the construction site of the new Marriott Convention Hotel which encompasses the entire block surrounded by Brazos St. to the east, Congress Ave. to the west, E. 2nd to the south and E. 3rd to the north. The actual construction of the hotel project has been delayed due to the economic downturn, but demolition is almost finished as workers clear the last structure on the lot along Brazos St. which use to house the Oscar Snowden appliance storage building.
