Georgetown, Texas was among three cities recognized by Texas First Lady Anita Perry for the Texas Treasure Award in conjunction with the Texas Historical Commission for the achievements of communities that show a commitment to preservation. Zylvia Park, who works as an information aide for the Williamson County Judge inside the County Courthouse, walks up the elliptical staircase off of the rotunda to an office. The historic courthouse was built in 1910 and rededicated in December 2007 after being restored to its original grandeur.

Several historic buildings dot the landscape on the quaint town square as Themis, the Goddess of Justice, watches from high above the courthouse.
