Westlake and Connally High School Pitching Duels in Key District Game

Westlake pitcher James Ferguson exhibits that rare talent of tongue rolling while hurling a pitch during second inning action against Connally. Actually if you can roll your tongue you would be in the majority and if you are female even more so, but have you tried rolling your tongue while throwing a fast ball. Me neither. Ferguson pitched a one-hit shutout.

Connally High School star pitcher Ryan Sasaki gets some encouragement from teammates after a talk with head coach Doug Pearce, lower right, during fifth inning action that saw the Cougars fall behind 2-0 to Westlake High School in a key district matchup of unbeatens. Sasaki pitched a superb game giving up only three hits over seven innings with 12 strikeouts in a losing effort to the Chaps.
