The Pinto Yankees, of the Oak Hill Youth Sports Association, surprised a few teams this season in coach-pitch Little League, but could not overcome the more experienced Marlins in losing in the second round of the season-ending tournament. Mason has incredible determination outrunning an infield hit to first base and beating the throw while his twin brother Caden is overcome with emotions after realizing their season has come to an end.

Mason Throwing Glove

The coaches stress playing “ready baseball”, which is not the case for Mason as he is seen hurling his glove high in the air just before a hit comes to center field. Luckily he was ready to field it and make the cut-off man at second base.

Caden Slides

Knowing when to slide and sliding just for fun is one in the same for Caden as he scores a precious run beating the throw home during their last game.

Caden Beats Throw

The Marlins displayed an all-star infield, but Caden beats the throw to first on an infield hit late in the game.

All is all it was a great introduction to spring baseball and the Oak Hill league is among the finest in Austin with incredibly determined coaches like Mario Escamilla and Leslie Pratt protecting the integrity of America’s past time and shaping the youth of today into tomorrow’s all-stars.
