Dozens turned out Wednesday evening for a peaceful protest of the recent Iranian elections at the corner of N. Lamar Blvd and W. 6th St.. Mahmood Ahmadinejad was announced the winner and as people protested there were numerous political arrests and suppression of rights. Michael Gist, in black hat with long hair, holds a photograph of a political detainee as he joins many others in protest. The group was largely accepted by motorists and pedestrians as they protested freely on the sidewalk in front of Waterloo Records.
