David Rankin was a successful accountant and avid golfer until his blurry vision and loss of strength in his leg led him to see a neurologist who diagnosed him with multiple sclerosis. He has been fighting an uphill battle ever since losing his job and now finds out his  insurance provider, Liberty Mutual, denied his long-term disability claim. “At first I cried about it. Second I became angry, and now I just accept it and remain consistent.” said Rankin, who sits on his back patio in his south Austin home with his wife Deborah.
