Austin Fire, EMS and Park Police responded to a two-car collision along W. Cesar Chavez St. near Austin High School that flipped one truck and left both vehicles in the grass along Lady Bird Lake and the hike and bike trail. The drivers and passengers refused treatment. ATCEMS Paramedic Dave Curvin assists the woman driver of this Nissan truck that was flipped on its side by the other vehicle. Remarkably there were no injuries although she kept rubbing the back of her head.

Earlier in the day I was in the lab editing two previous assignments and giving a tour to two groups of Oak Hill Elementary fourth graders explaining my typical day. I even mentioned the occasional car wreck. Little did I know minutes after they left I was headed out the door.
