Steven Burke was hired by the Austin Independent School District to improve school lunches district wide. He has an office in the Austin High School cafeteria, but works across the district in several schools. He has developed more than 125 tasty healthy recipes and has found success in the students who like his food. Burke, at bottom center, with the entire kitchen staff at Austin High School. Look for an interesting story in Wednesday’s newspaper from food writer Addie Broyles.

  2. Steven has always been a master chef! He’s been whipping up some amazing things in the kitchen as far back as I can remember (and I’ve known him since preschool).

  3. Hey, Ralph! I just stumbled across your blog when looking for this story from 2010. Nice work!
