Texas State Rep Edmund Kuempel Laid to Rest at State Cemetery

Texas State Rep. Edmund Kuempel, D-Seguin, was laid to rest Tuesday afternoon under the shade of an expansive live oak tree in the Texas State Cemetery after he died last week from a heart attack. Texas State Trooper Sgt. James Lopez presents the Texas flag that draped his casket to his wife and widow Roberta. Also present for the family are from L-R: Walter Brady, son-in-law, granddaughter Rose Brady, Margaret Brady, Kuempel’s daughter, wife Roberta, son John Kuempel, his wife Michelle, and their sons (grandsons) Will and Sam.
