Morris Williams Golf Course Set for Renovation in 2012, to Reopen in 2013

Sunday February 13th was the last day to play the city of Austin’s Morris Williams municipal golf course, which is slated for closure until 2013 for renovation and construction. Local golfers braved the cold temperatures, freezing rain, sleet and a few snow flurries to get in their last 18 holes at the old course. Under current plans a new clubhouse will be built and the course will undergo renovations. Opening is slated for sometime in early 2013. Junior golfer Jake Bridges takes a memorable group photo for these golfers as they conclude their final round at the course until next year.
