A pair of newly hatched red tail hawks nest high in a tree above a greenbelt on property owned by Capitol Cheverolet and Nancy Harper on the Motor Mile between Stassney Lane and E. William Cannon Drive along the east frontage road of Interstate 35. The adult parents spent part of the morning rebuilding the nest due to damage from the overnight high winds and rain storms. These hawks vie for territory and can live six to seven years in the wild.
