Clarence Schollmeyer of North Dakota, 66, was identified as the pilot of a small aircraft that crashed early Thursday morning outside of San Marcos, TX. The man was doing a test flight on a double-engine plane when it crashed on the Gary Job Corps private property returning to the San Marcos Airport at 2800 Texas Highway 21. One of the front seats from the aircraft lies in the foreground. The National Transportation Safety Board is conducting the investigation that will continue into Friday. The weather forecast was for fog and low visibility in the morning.
